ECLIPSE READER/WRITER TUTORIAL |
The eClipseWriter and eClipseReader Tutorial CD – makes it easy for you to learn how to create, read and study DAISY Digital Talking Books using IRTI’s software applications. The tutorials have been created by Karen McCall who is a recognized expert in the field of accessible media. The tutorials are an excellent extension of the instruction manuals provided with the products and will really help you get started quickly!
The tutorials are included on the CD as two separate DAISY Digital Talking Books:
“Create DAISY Books with eClipseWriter” is your step by step guide to learning how to make your own DAISY books quickly and easily.
“Reading DAISY Books with eClipseReader” is your guide to playing DAISY books and explores the many features of the eClipseReader that are useful to the user.
Both DAISY books are also presented in text form as .PDF files on the CD, and if opened with version 7 of Adobe Acrobat Reader will allow the note taking feature to be used.
Please note that these tutorials are presented in DAISY format only, and must be played on a DAISY 2.02 capable playback software or hardware device. Most users will simply launch them using eClipseReader.

1. Plays non-protected DAISY 2.02 audio books including DAISY books created with the PTR-1 and eClipseWriter. Supports DAISY 2.02 audio books with full text and graphics display.
2. Read text Documents with NeoSpeech text to speech: Bookshare in text (not DAISY) files, Word Docs, emails, Web pages saved to text, Project Gutenberg on-line books….
3. Includes unlimited bookmarks with text notes in DAISY books and Text Documents.
4. Review text notes in outline format automatically generated by eClipseReader.
5. Export Text notes to MS Note for use by other applications.
6. NOTE: eClipseReader-LT does not support protected DAISY books produced by RFB&D. Contact RFB&D to purchase eClipseReader-RFB&D version.
